Australian Captain Aaron Finch Has questioned Glenn Maxwell Performance As an Australian Player.
Talking To Media in the post match conference in hobart after the third ODI which Australia lose to South Africa and with that also lost the series to the South African Team He Said that “If you look at Glenn Numbers recently, he hasn’t made as many runs as he would have want to make as a pure batsman. Therefore for him to be in the side and as an all-rounder then he’s probably batting in that No.7 spot”.
Aaron Finch believes that Glenn Maxwell hasn’t done much as a batsman and he hasn’t scored runs for a while now, and since players like Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey have scored runs whenever they have got an opportunity to bat higher up in the order Glenn Maxwell can’t be pushed up in the order too.
Aaron Finch also that Glenn Maxwell Likes to bat higher in the order but also points out the fact that he hasn’t done anything with the bat to bat higher in the order. He also said that players around Maxwell are performing and Maxwell should step up as well. He said that at the moment Glenn Maxwell is in the side as an all-rounder batting at no.7
Australia will now be playing a solitary T20 international against South Africa on Saturday and Glenn Maxwell Will Be Under Pressure to save his position in the Australian Team. Once predicted to achieve big things Glenn Maxwell hasn’t become a player he should have.
