India’s top order including the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli is probably the best top order in the world currently but what about middle order India’s middle order is probably one of the worst middle order in world cricket at the moment. Most of India’s win in the past two to three years has been set up by the top order in most of those wins Indian openers provided India a good platform which is then used by world’s best batsman Virat Kohli who scored most of the runs in the middle overs and whenever the top 3 for India fails to fire India struggles to win matches because then India’s middle order gets exposed no.4 and no.6 position has been a problem for India for a long time now they have tried many players in these two positions but none of the players have stepped up to the challenge and these two spots are still a problem for team India and now with MS Dhoni also struggling with the bat India’s middle order looks even more worse.

In yesterday match against Afghanistan as well Indian openers KL Rahul and Ambati Rayudu provided India with a good opening partnership and India looked set for a win but when they both get out we witnessed another middle-order collapse which is a regular thing nowadays and because of that middle order collapse India failed to win the match although India didn’t lose the match but still they couldn’t win a match that they should have won after the Asia Cup when Virat Kohli will come back India’s top order will be strengthened but at the moment the race for the no.4 slot is between Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik and in the final they will like to outperform each other as the one who will score more runs in the final will definitely be preferred for no.4 slot against West Indies in the home series.
